Using the site

You may use Ovisola freely to discover and compare campsites. We do our best to keep the information current and accurate, but cannot guarantee completeness or correctness. Always check prices, availability and amenities with the campsite or booking partner before you book.

Booking and affiliate links

Bookable campsites are reserved directly with the campsite or via our booking partner. If you click through, that partner's terms and privacy statement apply. Ovisola may receive a commission for bookings made via these links; this does not affect the price you pay, nor the ranking by review score.

Payments, collection and payout

For campsites that are bookable via Ovisola and where payment is processed through Ovisola, Ovisola expressly acts as the collecting party (collection agent): Ovisola collects the guest's payment in the name of and for the account of the campsite. Payment by the guest to Ovisola has discharging effect; once Ovisola has received the amount due, the guest has thereby satisfied its payment obligation towards the campsite, and the campsite may not demand a second payment of the same amount from the guest.

• Collect: Ovisola collects the full booking amount from the guest and holds the collected funds for the account of the campsite and, where required, keeps them separate.
• Retain: from the collected amount, Ovisola retains its agreed fee (commission/percentage), plus any transaction costs and taxes due.
• Pay out: Ovisola pays out the remainder to the campsite in accordance with the agreed payout schedule.

The agreement for the stay is concluded between the guest and the campsite; in this Ovisola is an intermediary and collecting party and is not itself the provider of the stay. Cancellations and refunds follow the campsite's cancellation policy; where applicable Ovisola processes refunds from the collected funds. The specific arrangements on percentages, collection and payout between Ovisola and the campsite are set out in the partner agreement with the campsite.

Where the data comes from

The campsite data on Ovisola comes from several sources, which we combine into one canonical campsite per location:

• Affiliate partners (including ACSI): bookable campsites with price, availability, photos and reviews.
• OpenStreetMap contributors: the free coverage layer of campsites and motorhome pitches, used under the Open Database License (ODbL). © OpenStreetMap contributors.
• Wikidata and OpenStreetMap: attractions near a campsite.
• Our own enrichment: distance to sea, lake and beach, and other characteristics are computed by us from public geodata.

The map view contains the required attribution © OpenStreetMap contributors. OpenStreetMap data is used under ODbL; we keep the proprietary affiliate data architecturally separate from it.

Liability

Ovisola is a discovery platform, intermediary and, where applicable, collecting party; Ovisola is not itself the provider of the stay and not a party to the accommodation agreement between the guest and the campsite. The site and all information are provided “as is” and “as available”, without any express or implied warranty of accuracy, completeness, timeliness, fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ovisola is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damage (including lost profits, lost savings, loss of data, or non-material damage) arising out of or in connection with the use of or inability to use the site, the information shown, the stay, bookings with third parties, or third-party websites and services linked to. To the maximum extent permitted by law, any liability of Ovisola is entirely excluded, save for Ovisola's own intent or wilful recklessness. No rights can be derived from the information shown.

Indemnification

You fully indemnify Ovisola, its directors and staff against all third-party claims, demands, damages, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with your use of the site, your breach of these terms or of applicable laws and regulations, or any infringement of third-party rights.

Changes and governing law

Ovisola may change these terms and the site, or discontinue (parts of) them, at any time. These terms and any use of the site are governed exclusively by Dutch law; disputes are submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands. If any provision is void or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
